This second-country edition of Phra Chaiwat Takmo was created by the Buddhist Association of China to replace the first Chinese bell Buddha which is 1,930 years old. It is to be a memorial and amulet.
There was the largest Buddhist ceremony in China, consecrated at Guangji Temple, Beijing by more than 500 Thai, Tibetan, Han, Mongolian and Chinese monks for 7 days and 7 nights. Luang Por Pen also graciously consecrated at Wat Bang Phra and Wat Suthat. The
Thai-Chinese Buddhist Art Conservation Club of Thailand, in collaboration with Wat Guangxiu, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, People’s Republic of China, created the Phra Kring-Phra Chaiwat Takmo edition. The first consecration ceremony was held on 4-5 September 1994 at Wat Kwangsiu, with Phra Phutthirangsi of Wat Sothon presiding over the lighting of the victory candle. The second consecration ceremony was held on 11 December 1994 at the Ubosot of Wat Suthat Thepwararam.
