among the coins in the same set. It is a coin produced by Western machinery in the early days of Siam. It has a valuable history and is highly sought after by collectors of ancient coins. The first era of coin production: It was produced for use during the reign of King Mongkut (Rama IV), with the announcement of its use on December 13, 1865. Characteristics: Round, flat, smooth edge (thick type) Front - is a picture of a royal crown with rays and two umbrellas on either side. The background is a pattern of branches but not as detailed as the tribute coin of 1858. |
