Copper 1/4 baht coin (thick type) from the reign of King Rama IV, featuring the Royal Crown and Chakra emblem, dated 1865 (B.E. 2408). Used and cleaned.

This copper "quarter" (1/4 fuang) coin is considered one of the rarest,
representing the earliest production by Western machinery in Siam.
It holds significant historical value and is highly sought after by collectors of antique coins

. Its production dates back to the reign of King Rama IV, with official issuance on December 13, 1865.

Shape: Round and flat, smooth edge (thick type).
Denomination: 1 quarter (equal to 1/4 fuang).
Metal: Copper.

Weighs approximately 7.5 grams | 0.20 centimeters thick

Approximate diameter: 2.25 centimeters.
Era: Reign of King Rama IV (1865).

Obverse side - Features a radiant royal crown flanked by two ceremonial umbrellas on a background of tree branches, but less detailed than the tribute coin of 1858.
The reverse side features an elephant standing on a base, facing left, in the center of a wheel. The price is indicated by Thai letters at the top, Arabic numerals on the left, Chinese characters at the bottom, and the Roman letter "F" on the right, meaning "fuang" (a unit of currency).
