10 Baht, Series 12 (Equestrian) 120th Anniversary of the Ministry of Finance, Uncirculated
***The serial number on the banknote may not match the picture, but the condition is uncirculated.*** This 12th series banknote was designed with the concept of "Maharaj" to promote the glory of the former monarchs who were bestowed the royal title "Maharaj". Therefore, the royal monument of the monarch who received the title "Maharaj" was used as the main image on the back of the banknote. This 12th series 10 Baht banknote was announced for use on September 5, 1980, and began to be exchanged on September 20, 1980. The design of this 12th series 10 Baht banknote was also used in the production of the commemorative banknote for the 120th anniversary of the Ministry of Finance in 1995. Banknote size is 6.90 x 13.20 centimeters. Obverse The main color of the banknote is light brown. The main image is a portrait of King Rama IX in the center right, dressed in the uniform of a commander-in-chief. The upper left corner has a Garuda image, with a watermark in the lower left. The main image on the back of the banknote is the royal monument of King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, the Great, modeled from the equestrian statue in front of Dusit Palace. On the upper right is a Garuda image, which is in the same position as the Garuda image on the front. When held up to a light, they are aligned and not overlapped. |
