To commemorate the 50th birthday anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Bank of Thailand deemed it appropriate to issue this 100 Baht commemorative banknote . The Bank of Thailand designed the banknote using the 100 Baht banknote (Series 16) as a basis, but redesigned the reverse side to depict her significant contributions and royal duties. It was announced on January 27, 2015, and began circulation on April 2, 2015, at a price of 100 Baht per note, and is considered circulating currency. Front: The front image is the same as the 100 Baht banknote (Series 16) . Back: The back of the banknote features a portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn as the main image. and pictures of the royal family, pictures of His Majesty working, and pictures of the Sirindhorn Champaka and the purple Theparat flowers |
