And to ensure that the celebration is in accordance with the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, President of the Somdej Phra Panwassa Foundation, that "the celebration should be an activity that benefits the masses," the
     first activity was to produce commemorative coins commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Sri Savarindira, the Princess Grandmother. The proceeds will be used to fund the construction of the Integrated Medical Center, the Eastern Region Center of Excellence for Emergency Medicine and Industrial Medicine, at Somdej Phra Borommarajchaninat Hospital at Sriracha.

Due to the current congestion and the rather outdated treatment system, the condition of the buildings and equipment are old and broken, examination rooms, emergency rooms, and operating rooms are insufficient. The budget for building the center is over 3.5 billion baht. The
     medallions depicting Her Royal Highness Princess Sri Savarindira, the Queen Mother, modeled from a bas-relief by Professor Silpa Bhirasri, consist of gold, silver, bronze, polished, and blackened bronze medallions measuring 2.6 x 3 cm. and 1.3 x 1.5 cm., along with a certificate of serial number, are priced at 1 million baht per set.

Special set (small set) priced at 60,000 baht per set, unpolished gold, silver, and bronze coins, commemorative coins packed in silk envelopes priced at 2,800 and 850 baht per set. All coins produced were consecrated in the Ubosot of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram.
   Her Royal Highness Princess Sri Savarindira, the Princess Mother, was the daughter of King Mongkut and Her Royal Highness Princess Mother Piyamavadi Sri Patcharindra. She performed many royal duties for the benefit of the nation, including in the fields of medicine and public health, education, the conservation and development of Thai culture, and social welfare.
