Obverse – The center of the coin features the image of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, facing right, wearing a Thai dress, diamond earrings, and the sash and necklace of the Most Illustrious Order of the Chakri Dynasty, decorated with the Chakri Star. On her left shoulder is the First Class Chula Chom Klao Seal and the Ratana Phorn Medal of King Rama IX, First Class. Within the lower rim of the coin is the inscription “Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.”
Reverse – The center of the coin bears the royal emblem of the 80th Birthday Anniversary Celebrations, 12 August 2012. Within the upper rim of the coin is the inscription “80th Birthday Anniversary Celebrations, 12 August 2012.”
