Made of silver, smooth edge, 2.3 cm in size. Rare, limited production. Due
to the good relationship between Thai and Chinese Buddhism, Somdej Phra Yannasangworn commissioned the creation of the "Phra Kring Chin Da Ren Tha" (Chinese Da Ren Tha amulet), a Phra Phuttha Chinnasri shield, and a Phra Phuttha Chinnasri coin as mementos. This is considered the first edition of the "Phra Kring Chin Da Ren Tha" amulet. This occurred during Somdej Phra Yannasangworn, the Supreme Patriarch,'s official visit to the People's Republic of China from June 20th to July 2nd, 1993. Somdej Phra Yannasangworn was the highest leader of the Buddhist institution in Thailand and this was the first time a Supreme Patriarch in history had visited the People's Republic of China. Mr. Zhao Puchu, President of the Buddhist Association of China, was also present. I had the honor of welcoming the Supreme Patriarch at Guangji Temple in Beijing on June 21, 1993, and on that occasion I also met with President Jiang Zemin.
