Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the grand Buddha consecration ceremony at the Ubosot of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram (Wat Phra Kaew) on Friday, May 15, 2009.

Created by the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association under Royal Patronage,
the proceeds will be presented to His Majesty the King through the Chaipattana Foundation Project, bringing great blessings to those who possess them and as a reward for those who donated to the construction of the 100th Anniversary of King Chulalongkorn Building. The Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association under Royal Patronage, established in 1946, provides a central place for Chulalongkorn alumni from all faculties and generations to meet, socialize, exchange knowledge, and collaborate in creating activities that are beneficial to both alumni and current students.
His Majesty the King has granted permission to the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association under Royal Patronage to create “Phra Nirantarai (replica) of the two kings, the first in 141 years.” The inner statue (the original) is a replica of the Buddha in the Diamond Samadhi Posture, 3 inches wide and 4 inches high, with Dvaravati art features. The outer statue, which is covered with another layer, is also in the Diamond Samadhi Posture, 5.5 inches wide and with Rattanakosin style features, wearing a robe in a fair manner, beautifully modeled after Buddha images created during the reign of King Rama IV. Behind is a glass pavilion adorned with a Bodhi tree. Khmer characters are carved into a circle of lotus petals in front of 9 and behind 9 virtues, expressing the virtues of the Buddha. The top of the glass pavilion has a Maha Mongkut attached to the lower base of the Buddha pedestal, which is used for bathing the Buddha image. There is a pipe in the shape of a bull’s head, indicating the ancestry, which is the Ma ancestry. And on February 6, 2009, Somdej Phra Buddhacarya (Kiew Upaseno) of Wat Saket presided over the gold pouring ceremony and the first printing at the ceremonial area in front of the Two Kings Monument, Chulalongkorn University. Monks sat and prayed in 8 directions, namely:-
- Luang Pu Chuea, Wat Klang Bang Kaew
- Reverend Father Uen, Wang Daeng Tai Temple
- Luang Pho Ruay, Wat Tako
- Reverend Father Sakorn, Nong Krap Temple
- Reverend Father Fu, Bang Samak Temple
- Reverend Father Uayphon, Wat Don Yai Hom
- Luang Pho Sueb, Wat Sing
- Reverend Father Swat, Ao Mu Temple
