This is considered a significant Phra Kring amulet in Phitsanulok and the first and only one created directly under the name of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan (Wat Yai). Phra Ratcha Rattanamuni (Thongpling Sorato), former abbot of Phitsanulok Province and abbot of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat (Wat Yai), along with civil servants, police, military personnel, and members of the public, created the amulets to raise funds for casting 29-inch Phra Buddha Chinnarat amulets, which were distributed to temples in remote areas, approximately 120 amulets, and to create amulets for police and military personnel engaged in communist suppression operations.

Somdej Phra Buddhakosajarn (Phut) of Suwannaram Temple (while holding the ecclesiastical title of "Phra Thammarachanuwat") was the presiding monk.

Luang Pu Khaek (Phra Mongkhon Suthi) of Wat Sunthon Pradit was the assistant master of ceremonies.
