20 Baht Banknote, Series 3, Issue 2, King Rama VIII, B.E. 2480, slightly repaired edge, very good condition

Banknote information Since King Prajadhipok abdicated on March 2, 1934, His Royal Highness Prince Ananda Mahidol ascended to the throne as the 8th King of the Chakri Dynasty, changing his royal name to King Ananda Mahidol.
In the early part of King Rama VIII’s reign, the Ministry of Finance changed the royal portrait of the 3rd series banknote to King Ananda Mahidol and began issuing it in 1936.
The 20 Baht Banknote, Series 3, Issue 2, was announced on December 15, 1937.
Banknote size is 9.50 x 17.50 centimeters.
The letter and number series start from น ๑๑ onwards.
The important element of the front of the banknote is the portrait of His Majesty the King. On the left is Ananda Mahidol, dressed in a Chakri uniform. In the center is an image of a riverside community, with the image of Airavata in the lower right corner. The serial number and number are printed in red ink.
Below the banknote number is the date of the banknote, also printed in red ink. On the reverse side of the banknote , the main image is of Phra Samut Chedi within a frame surrounded by a floral pattern. A message stating the penalties for counterfeiting is printed in the lower center. In the white circle on the lower left is a watermark of the three-headed elephant Airavata.
The signature on the banknote is Phraya Chaiyot Sombat (21 December 1937 - 19 December 1938).
