        is the only legally produced casino coin in Thailand. As a result of the prolonged World War II, there was a lot of damage. The death toll from this war is said to be approximately 60-70 million people. It led to famine, inflation, and suffering everywhere. The Thai government had to pay war reparations and a large amount of rice to the Allies and almost became defeated along with the Axis powers. However, the Free Thai Movement saved them from being defeated.
      However, government revenue was significantly reduced as a result of the war. The government therefore thought of a way to generate income for the state by opening a casino for the first time in Thailand on Saturday, February 3, 1945.
     During the government of Mr. Kuang Aphaiwong, a number of chips were produced with 4 prices:
100 baht with a 3-digit number stamped, with no more than 500 coins
; 20 baht with a 4-digit number stamped;
10 baht with a 4-digit number stamped;
1 baht with a 5-digit number stamped.

This casino was open for only four months before it was closed on Saturday, June 9, 1945.
The reason was that it caused distress to the people because they gambled until they lost all their money. Many even committed suicide. Many families were torn apart by gambling. Crime and robbery occurred in abundance.

Even King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) saw the logic that gambling had led many Siamese people to become slaves. If slavery were to be abolished, gambling must be abolished first, as he had the idea that:
“...Having citizens intoxicated by gambling is a cause of both personal and national disaster... I see a problem because Siam still has taxes on lottery, gambling, opium, and alcohol. These taxes actually turn people into slaves and harm all human beings... We must think about eliminating these things before we can end slavery....”
