Few minted, rare, good condition, unopened, original box.
To commemorate the grace and wisdom of King Ramkhamhaeng the Great, who invented the Thai alphabet or Thai script in 1283 B.E. as stated above on Stone Inscription No. 1,
the Cabinet has approved the project to celebrate 700 years of Thai script. The Treasury Department has also participated in the project by producing commemorative coins for this occasion. On
the front, there is a fictitious portrait of King Ramkhamhaeng the Great sitting on a pedestal, his right hand holding a book, and a person inscribed with letters on the back.
In the center of the back, there is a Thai script inscription on a stone base with the words 2526 B.E. On the left and right sides are the number 700. Below is the text "Mint, Treasury Department". There is a mint mark between the two texts. Type: Blackened copper. Diameter: 70 millimeters. Weight: 225 grams. Characteristics: Round coin with smooth outer edges. Flip horizontally (front and back match). Year of production: 1983. Known production quantity: 4,000 coins. Manufacturer: Treasury Department.
