The coin is a round coin with a smooth outer edge.
It is made of blackened copper and specially sandblasted.
The diameter is 70 millimeters
and the weight is 150 grams.

Front - The center of the coin features the image of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Behind is the image of the Grand Palace. Above, between the two, is the symbol of the Chakri Dynasty, under the nine-tiered white umbrella.
Reverse - In the center of the coin are the royal initials "Phra Borom" and the royal monogram "Sor Kor". Above is an unalom in the form of the number nine under the Great Crown of Victory. Below is an image of a peony. Within the circle on the right side of the coin is the text "50th Anniversary of the Royal Wedding". On the left side is the text "28 April 2000". Around the circle of the coin is a pattern of fifty petals of the love flower.
