During World War II, the Thai government was unable to print banknotes from Thomas de la Rue. England because England was on the Allied side. Thailand is facing a shortage of banknotes. The government therefore asked Japan to produce banknotes with Mitsui Bussan Kaisha Company as a representative for the banknote printing houses of the Japanese government.
Printed banknotes from Japan that have been recently received. different from the first version because in the latter Japan was heavily attacked by the Allies. This made the materials used in the production of banknotes scarce.

Front banknote. An important element is the portrait of His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol in Chakri uniform on the right. On the left is an image of the ordination hall at Wat Phumin, Nan Province. In the middle is a picture of Fuuang pattern as the background of the text "Thai Government". There is an image of Iraphot in the lower right corner. Letters and numbers are printed in red ink. constitutional pedestal watermark
Banknote on the back The main image is a picture of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram in the Grand Palace, surrounded by bougainvillea patterns. The penalty for counterfeiting is printed in the bottom center
