Description
1 Baht Pod Duang coin with Unalome seal, reign of King Rama I, used, beautiful condition, good weight.
**Guaranteed authentic internationally, product as shown in the picture**
Pod Duang coins of this reign were originally stamped with the Chakra and Trident seals. However, after the coronation, His Majesty ordered the production of Pod Duang coins for the reign and stamped with the Chakra and Lotus Unalome seals.
During this reign, Pod Duang coins are still used, which are similar to those of the late Ayutthaya period. The seal uses the 8-petal Chakra seal as the national seal, while the royal seal is the Lotus (Maha Unalome) seal,
which is almost round.
The front is stamped with the Maha Unalome seal
on the top and the Chakra seal
on the side. There are marks from being struck to bend together, and the bottom has wrinkles of the metal from being folded on the sides.
Year of issue: 1785 (It is a type 2 currency produced for use during the coronation.)
Note: His Majesty King Rama I graciously ordered that the royal emblem of Phra Saeng Tri be changed to the royal emblem of Phra Maha Unalom. This is because Prince Chakkraphat, the younger brother of the Queen, brought the royal conch shell, which was an antique from Ayutthaya, and the royal conch shell of Phra Angkhan Phra Borommachanok to present. His Majesty King Rama I was very fond of the conch shell, so it was used as his personal symbol and as the seal stamped on the Pod Duang coins throughout his reign.
