   His Majesty the King has granted permission to the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage to create “Phra Nirantarai (replica) of the two kings, the first in 141 years” by replicating the inner statue (the original) as the Buddha image in the Diamond Samadhi Posture, 3 inches wide and 4 inches high, with Dvaravati art characteristics. And the outer statue, which is covered with another layer, is also in the Diamond Samadhi Posture, 5.5 inches wide and with the characteristics of Rattanakosin craftsmen, wearing a fair robe, beautifully modeled after the Buddha image created during the reign of King Rama IV. Behind is a glass pavilion with a Bodhi tree. There are Khmer characters carved into a circle of lotus petals in front of 9 and behind 9 names showing the virtues of the Buddha. The top of the glass pavilion has a Maha Mongkut attached to the base. The lower part of the base of the Buddha image is used as a place for pouring water on the Buddha image.
