This coin was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne. The Coronation Ceremony was a royal ceremony held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession to the throne on June 9, 1971.
Front - There is a portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej facing right. Within the upper rim is the text "His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej". Below is the text "Sayaminthrathirat Borommanathbophit".
On the reverse side is the royal seal. Within the upper rim is the inscription "Souvenir of the 25th Anniversary Celebration of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne". Within the lower rim is the inscription "9 June 1971".
