A complete set of 1-baht circulating coins from the reign of King Rama IX, featuring the image of the Phra Sri Rattana Chedi, from 1986 to 2017. The
coins are uncirculated except for the 1986 coin which is slightly circulated but in excellent condition. ***The set includes 32 uncirculated 1-baht coins from 1986 (short spire design) to 2017, beautifully and neatly arranged in a display panel. A highly collectible item . Panel size: 21.5 x 35 centimeters. The 1-baht coin is a denomination of the Thai baht currency used in Thailand. The current circulating 1-baht coin features a portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the obverse and an image of the Phra Sri Rattana Chedi at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram (Temple of the Emerald Buddha ) on the reverse. It was issued on August 8, 1986. In 2009, the Treasury Department revised the design of the coin and changed the metal used to produce the 1-baht coin to nickel- plated iron . The weight of the coin was reduced to 3.00 grams from the original 3.40 grams, while maintaining the same thickness and diameter. |
