In the merit-making ceremony in honor of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn on the occasion of his 4th cycle birthday at the Ubosot of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram on Monday 24-28 July 2000, Phra Thep Prasitthimon, Chairman of the Fund Raising Committee (48th Anniversary Building) and Chairman of the Merit-Making Ceremony in Honor of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), graciously bestowed the creation of the commemorative coin on the 4th cycle birthday,
with His Royal Highness’s portrait placed on the front of the coin. And invite the royal initials มวก to be placed on the back of 200,000 coins, consisting of gold, silver and copper coins, to be given as souvenirs to those who participated in the merit-making ceremony in honor of His Majesty and to those who donated money to the royal charity fund for the construction of the มวก. 48th Anniversary Building (Auditorium Building) of MCU. On this occasion, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn presided over the lighting of the victory candle in the Buddha consecration ceremony on Monday, July 24, 2000 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ubosot of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram.
