Description

Rare 20 Baht banknote, Series 12, 6-digit serial number, Reign of King Rama IX, 1981 (B.E. 2524), uncirculated condition
. ***The serial number may not exactly match the image, but the condition is uncirculated. Guaranteed authentic.***
This Series 12 banknote was designed with the concept of "Great King" to promote the honor of the former monarchs who have been bestowed the title of "Great King." Therefore, the image of the royal monument of the king who received such honor is used as the main image on the back of the banknote. This 20 Baht Series 12 banknote was announced on November 2, 1981 (B.E. 2524) and began circulation on December 28, 1981 (B.E. 2524). The banknote measures 7.20 x 13.80 centimeters. The front    of the banknote is predominantly green, with a portrait of King Rama IX in military uniform as the main image, located in the center right. The banknote features the Garuda emblem in the upper left corner and the words "Government of Thailand" in the center. A watermark is located in the lower left corner. The reverse  side  depicts the monument of King Taksin the Great at Thung Na Chey Public Park, Mueang District, Chanthaburi Province. A seascape is shown on the left. The Garuda emblem is also present in the upper right corner, perfectly aligned with the Garuda emblem on the front, appearing to overlap when held up to the light .    Anti-counterfeiting technologies used include raised

ink printing, a watermark embedded in the paper, the perfect alignment of the Garuda emblems on the front and back (when held up to the light), and an embedded security strip.
