This commemorative coin celebrates His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 88th birthday. It is made of polished silver with a partial gold plating.
It comes with its original box and certificate from the Royal Thai Mint. These coins are becoming increasingly rare. The coin is in pristine condition, free from scratches or blemishes.
The commemorative coin is made of 99.99% pure silver, polished and partially plated with real gold. It has
a diameter of 34 millimeters
and weighs 15.87 grams.
Only 19,988 coins were produced.
The obverse features a portrait of His Majesty the King,
and the reverse bears the royal monogram "ภ.ป.ร." (Bhumibol Adulyadej).
This commemorative coin was designed and produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, a high-standard mint with skilled craftsmen, under the quality control of the Canadian government.
The reverse of the coin is engraved with the royal monogram "ภ.ป.ร." (Bhumibol Adulyadej) under the Great Crown of Victory. Importantly, the number 88 on the coin is considered auspicious. The number 8 resembles the infinity symbol, signifying endlessness and eternity, much like His Majesty the King's enduring presence in the hearts of the Thai people and the world.
