This 36th Birthday Commemorative Coin commemorates the 48th anniversary of Silpakorn University, 1991. This 3 cm coin, still in its original packaging,
was made in 1991 by Silpakorn University in collaboration with the University Affairs Promotion Committee. The commemorative coin was created to celebrate the 36th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and the 48th anniversary of Silpakorn University's founding. The purpose of the coin was to raise funds for the University Affairs Promotion Fund, with the objectives of academic development and the welfare of university personnel. His Holiness Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara, the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, presided over the auspicious ceremony for the coin on Wednesday, October 9, 1991, at the Silpakorn University Art Gallery, Wang Tha Phra. Nine other senior monks also participated in the ceremony, offering their blessings and prayers. |
