Through his texts, Jean de la Fontaine still fascinates today by depicting animals in order to represent the great character traits of Men. Work dedicated to the dauphin Louis of France, Jean de la Fontaine leaves us a literary legacy of more than 240 fables as well as numerous collections of stories and poems.
This 81mm bronze medal pays tribute to the great man of letters Jean de La Fontaine, as well as to his work. On the face we find the bust of the poet, the gaze focused on one of his most famous fables: the Raven and the Fox.
Perched on his tree, the crow holds a cheese in his beak. Enticed by the smell, the fox observes him and recites his smooth-talking speech.
This medal is engraved and numbered on the edge. The smooth reverse is also customizable.
