Description

200 Baht polished silver commemorative coin featuring Thai elephants (mother and baby elephants), with original box. Limited mintage, rare. Minted in 2016 (B.E. 2559). Beautiful, pristine condition, no scratches or stains. Includes certificate.  Issued

by the Royal Thai Mint to commemorate the 70th anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession
to the throne, this commemorative coin  honors His Majesty's initiatives in conserving wild elephants and fostering a love and coexistence between humans and elephants. It also reflects the long-held belief and close connection to Thai society and culture: the Thai elephant symbolizes power, prestige, goodness, and merit, and importantly, is considered a sacred animal associated with the Thai monarchy.
Coin specifications: Made of 99.9% pure silver, weight 31.21 grams, diameter 38.61 millimeters, limited production of 5,000 coins.

Obverse: Portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej facing
left, wearing a Western-style suit. The inscription around the edge of the coin reads “His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej”. On
the reverse, in
the center, are two elephants. Above the elephants, a latent imagery technique is used to create alternating images of a Garuda bird and the letters RTM, representing the symbol of the Royal Thai Mint. Around the upper edge of the coin is the inscription “Thai Wildlife: Elephant”, and below it is the denomination “200 Baht” and the inscription “Thailand 2015”.
