The 1 Baht Series 5 Series 9 banknotes are similar in appearance to the 4 Baht 1 Baht banknotes  , but the change is to use the portrait of King Rama IX as a watermark instead of the Constitution as it has been since the 1st edition of the banknote. - 4

The important highlight that is easy to notice of the 5th series of 1 baht banknotes is the portrait of King Rama IX, which is a picture of the increasing age of the King, also known as the old face, and the banknote number is printed in black ink. There is no orthography on the word banknote. When lifting, you will see the watermark of the King Rama IX's image and see the metal-coated fibers embedded in the vertical lines of the banknotes.
