1862, His Majesty King Mongkut. His Majesty the King Let the mint produce tin coins. to be used as a substitute for shellfish premiums and announced the use of this newly made Kapa Att (Att coin) and Soros on August 25, 1862. This tin coin was made of black tin mixed with copper. On one side, there is an elephant seal in the circle. On the other side is a picture of Phra Maha Mongkut and Chat. A large tin coin, called “Att”, costs eight percent. For the small size, called "Sorot", the price is 16 pieces per Fung.
