This newly designed PAMP Suisse Silver Bar contains 1 oz. of .999 fine silver. The Lakshmi Bar is one of five bars released by PAMP Suisse as part of a religious series, with each uniquely designed in celebration of different religious figures, monuments, and icons.
Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, love, prosperity, fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. Her four hands represent the four goals of human life considered proper in the Hindu way of life – dharma, kama, artha, and moksha. Archaeological discoveries and ancient coins suggest the recognition and reverence of the goddess Lakshmi.
Lakshmi’s iconography and statues have been found in Hindu temples of Southeast Asia, estimated to be from the second half of the 1st millennium AD. Today, Lakshmi is worshipped as the goddess of wealth. The festivals of Diwali and Sharad Purnima are celebrated in her honour.
The reverse side of this exquisite bar features a detailed rendering of Lakshmi with diagonal lines behind her. The obverse side features a circular PAMP logo, along with the words “SUISSE” “1 OUNCE” “FINE SILVER” “999.0” and an individualized serial number. This bar is packaged in its original assay card which guarantees the metal weight and purity.
