The Victory Medal from the Vietnam War is a round metal.
The obverse features a portrait of King Naresuan the Great engaged in an elephant duel with the enemy. The rim features the initials “King Naresuan the Great, Save the Nation.”
The reverse features a wheel, with the inscriptions “We Fight for the Glory of Thailand.”
The Vietnam War Victory Medal features a yellow ribbon with a red rim and white stripes on both sides (decorated with a central flame gradually increasing to the top).
Above is a field marshal’s baton-shaped metal pin inscribed with the words “Victory.” The Victory Medal was created in 1945 during the reign of King Ananda Mahidol. It uses the abbreviation “Ch.S.” and was created in accordance with the Victory Medal Act of 1941 to bestow upon soldiers, police, or those who perform duties as soldiers or police who have been ordered by a military or police unit to go into battle and have already deployed to carry out their duties.
The bestowal of title and reclaiming of the medal are the same as the Bravery Medal. This medal does not have a certificate. But the names of the recipients will be announced in the Royal Gazette.
