Sothon Buddha amulet, Khumklao, silver, plated with white gold, “Under the Royal Grace of Khumklao”, commemorative of the 60th anniversary of Bhumibol Hospital, 2009, with original case,
silver, plated with white gold, size 22 x 21.5 mm.,
3,000 pieces minted
, produced by Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital.
***The amulet is as shown in the picture, guaranteed authentic worldwide.***
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital, permission has been requested to make a replica of the “Khumklao Buddha amulet” and to make a sculpture of His Majesty the King. Permission has also been requested to place the royal initials, B.P.R., on the back of the Khumklao Buddha amulet amulet and the sculpture of His Majesty the King.
The purpose is to present a portion of the proceeds to His Majesty the King to be used for royal projects and other purposes as His Majesty desires. Another portion will be used to construct a cancer treatment center with parking, renovate the emergency room at the Khumklao Building, support the Khumket Fund of Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital, and procure various medical equipment, such as a single-plane coronary angiography machine, a set of blood vessel and cardiac arrhythmia diagnostic equipment, a near-field oxygenation machine, a computerized x-ray machine, a comprehensive life support system for accident and emergency patients, and a complete dialysis equipment set. Furthermore, the
“Phra Phutthasothon Thong Prathan Khumklao Puangpracha” (Golden Buddha Image) was created. Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital intends to use this name to align with the Phra Phutthasothon Thong Prathan Khumklao, which His Majesty the King graciously bestowed upon him.
The Phra Phutthasothon Thong Prathan Khumklao Puangpracha was designed and sculpted by sculptor Ajarn Nonthiwat Chantanaphalin, a National Artist in Visual Arts. The sacred object contains sacred gold that has covered the Luang Pho Sothon statue since ancient times, stemming from the public’s devotion for over 100 years. In 2006, a major restoration of the Buddha image was carried out.
Therefore, the gold was peeled off to reveal the true substance. It is considered the best gold substance of 100 years. There are both worship sizes with a lap width of 9 inches and sizes for hanging around the neck. The Buddha Abhiseka ceremony will be held at the Ubosot of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram (Wat Phra Kaew) in Bangkok around February 2010.
