📜 History of creation
The Royal Thai Police, in collaboration with the Police General Hospital Foundation under the Royal Patronage, established this facility to raise funds to purchase medical equipment and supplies for the 20-story medical services building at the Police General Hospital.
The grand Buddha consecration ceremony took place at the Ubosot of Wat Bowonniwet Vihara on 27 September 2012. Her
Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the pouring of gold and participated in the ceremony.
With 255 senior monks from all over Thailand sitting in a circle around the Ubosot, it is considered one of the greatest Buddhist consecration ceremonies of the year.
