Nang Kwak, Wat Konon, lead alloy, Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradu Chim Pli, jointly consecrated in 1971, guaranteed authentic.
Buddha statue, height 18 mm.
***The Buddha statue may not be exactly as shown in the picture, but the condition and model are the same. Guaranteed authentic worldwide*** Wat Konon, in Phasi Charoen District, Thonburi, was formerly the residence of Luang Pu Iam of Wat Nang and his teacher, Luang Pu Rod. The monks created lead alloy Phra Pidta amulets and enshrined them in a crypt. The crypt was officially opened around 1969. In 1971-1972, Wat Konon underwent a major renovation of the new ordination hall. The abbot then brought Luang Pu Iam’s old lead alloy and fragments of Phra Pidta amulets found in the damaged Wat Konon crypt and invited venerable monks from across the country to participate in the consecration ceremony. (Some sources state that old lead alloy from amulets from crypts across the country was also melted down for this batch of amulets.) The amulets were distributed as souvenirs to devotees at the gilding and setting of the boundary stone for the new ordination hall on April 1, 1972.
