On the front – in the middle of the coin is a portrait of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn. King Chulalongkorn IX wearing his robes turn his face to the right Inside the edge of the coin above is the message that “His Majesty King Chulalongkorn King Chulalongkorn
On the reverse – the middle of the coin has the letter “Jor Por Ror” under the Phra Maha Mongut. On the right and left sides of the royal monogram “Jor Por”, there are artificial Thai numerals “2396” and “2003” respectively. Inside the rim of the coin above there is the message “150 years of the King’s birthday, 20 September 2003”. The text says the price “10 baht” and the text “Thailand”, respectively, with a square between the text above and below on both sides.
The shape of the coin is round, the outer edge has smooth alternating gears.
